Aion 2 Season 2 will officially launch on December 16. This update will conclude all limited-time events from Season 1 and reset the seasonal leaderboards, while simultaneously introducing a wealth of new PvE and PvP content, along with long-term system optimizations.
This guide will help you navigate the end-of-season transition and highlight the key features to explore in the new season.
Season 1 Is Coming to an End
During the maintenance period for the transition to Season 2, the Season 1 Daeva Pass will be removed. Any unclaimed rewards must be collected before the December 16 update; once the update goes live, these rewards can no longer be claimed.
The Season 1 Ranked Arena leaderboards will be locked and finalized. Seasonal Rank Currency can only be spent in the legacy season shop - which will close after the update - so be sure to use any remaining currency beforehand.
Limited-time event dungeons and the Shugo Festa mini-game will also conclude with the launch of Season 2. Temporary exchange materials earned from these activities will not carry over to the new season. However, your character's base level, permanent equipment, Daevanion progression, and inventory/warehouse capacity will all be fully preserved; there is no need to worry about your hard-earned character progress being reset.
In the early stages of a new season, crafting and enhancing gear - as well as unlocking Daevanion slots - require significant amounts of Kinah. Many players choose to buy Aion 2 Kinah to ensure they have the resources needed to keep pace with early-game progression.
New PvE Dungeons and Challenges in Season 2
With the launch of the new Aion 2 update, the Dying Dramata's Nest Expedition dungeon takes center stage. It features multi-stage boss mechanics, with successful clears yielding high-tier enhancement materials and rare Arcana components.
Throughout the season, additional high-level Transcendence dungeons - such as the Cradle of Nihility and Submerged Life Temple - will be introduced. These will include higher difficulty tiers (Extreme, Insane, and Hell), perfect for groups aiming to acquire "best-in-slot" (end-game) gear.
If you plan to tackle high-difficulty dungeons right from the start, having a supply of Aion 2 Kinah on hand - to bid on dungeon drops or buy essential enhancement consumables - will significantly lower the barrier to entry for your initial progression efforts.
Abyss PvP Updates and Faction Conflict Changes
The Abyss region is receiving a major expansion with the unlocking of the Middle Reshanta zone. Featuring an entry threshold based on gear grade, this area serves as the core hub for high-level PvPvE content this season. A new Abyss Rift Zone mechanic has been introduced, requiring players from both the Elyos and Asmodian factions to compete for control over multiple field bosses; faction points are awarded based on contribution to these kills.
For those who enjoy open-world PvP and fortress sieges, coordinate with your guildmates in advance to plan your entry and secure key resource points. Ensure you are fully equipped with PvP armor, weapons, and accessories - the right Aion 2 items can effectively shore up any weaknesses in your build.
New Quality-of-Life Systems
Aion 2 Season 2 introduces the highly anticipated Equipment Transfer system. This allows players to transfer Amplified enhancement levels and Soul Binding effects from one piece of gear to another. Each item can undergo this transfer process up to six times, eliminating the need to re-enhance gear from scratch whenever you upgrade - significantly reducing the costs associated with character progression.
The Closet (wardrobe) system has been completely overhauled. With the exception of Special (rare) grade items, all cosmetic skins are now shared across all characters on your account within the same server.
Tips for Navigating Seasonal Transitions
First, distinguish between temporary and permanent resources: seasonal tokens and event materials are temporary, whereas Kinah, permanent gear, Daevanion progress, and cosmetic skins are retained indefinitely. Avoid buying Season 1 exclusive items at high prices toward the end of the season, as their value will drop sharply following the update.
Expect significant price volatility at the start of the new season, with the cost of dungeon materials likely to spike. It is advisable to focus on experiencing the dungeons and accumulating foundational resources first; bid rationally and plan your resource allocation carefully. By making these preparations, you'll be ready for a smooth start to your Aion 2 Season 2 adventure when the update arrives on December 16th.
